If you missed that argument when initially installing php5 and want to add it after the fact, this is all you need:
sudo apt-get install php5-readline

Para utilizar estas funciones, debe compilar la versión CGI o CLI de PHP con soporte para readline. Es necesario configurar PHP --with-readline[=DIR]. Si desea utilizar el reemplazo de readline libedit, es necesario configurar PHP --with-libedit[=DIR].
En Windows esta extensión está disponible por defecto a partir de PHP 7.1.0.
